To be honest, we’re not exactly sure what we’ll be discussing here. Everyone blogs nowadays and we didn’t want to appear too antiquated. It would be wise to expect a wide array of topics to be discussed. We’re without a doubt excited to share our knowledge (and more-so our opinions!) with our readers.

A simple introduction would be a logical start I suppose. Body-Improvements is a multifaceted fitness consulting company. We are in the business predominantly of helping our clients reach their health, fitness and physique goals. We reach our clients via a number of mediums, predominantly the Internet and local gym setting. Our services include online personal training, in-person personal training and corporate fitness. The clientele of Body-Improvements is diverse consisting predominantly of overweight individuals looking to “shape up.” It is secondarily comprised of athletes.

The trainers “running the show” include myself, Steve Troutman, as well as Gordy Kocher. Trainers by day and best buds by night (yes, I’m married… to a woman). We really do, honest to goodness, love what we do. You can take a gander at our full bios here.

Specifically what we plan to do with this blog is to not have a plan. We don’t want time-lines, procedures, agendas or rules. This blog is our ‘oyster’ so to speak, in place to express whatever the flavor of the day happens to be filtered through our lenses.

How often do we plan on updating the blog? Who knows.

What exactly do we plan on writing about? My knee-jerk response is anything and everything.

Off the cuff, topics will include but not be limited to exercise technique demonstrations and explanations, recipes, various articles regarding fitness and nutrition, interviews, Q&As we receive from clients and contacts, as well as some motivational blurbs. If you’re ever interested in hearing what we have to say about a particular topic, have it be fitness, nutrition, religion or politics, feel free to contact us through email. We’ll try our best to answer any and all requests.

I will say that we’d like interviews to be one of the foundational blog entries. That said, there just aren’t a whole heck of a lot of ‘professionals’ worth interviewing nowadays from our perspective. Undoubtedly we will be conducting a number of interviews here with some well-known authors and coaches/trainers. We also plan on interviewing some folks you do not know; possibly clients, local dietitians and ART practitioners, etc. We know we aren’t the only opinionated people on the block and believe a great deal in sharing knowledge and experience across the board. Everyone has something positive to contribute and we plan on finding that ‘something’ in each of our interviews.

We are extremely grateful and excited to start this blog off with a bang! No, obviously not this post… I’m boring. Our next post, however, will be home to an exclusive interview with Lyle McDonald. If you don’t know who he is, don’t worry… you’ll hear a great deal about him in our next entry as we dig into the vastness that is his brain. In the meantime, if you’re interested, feel free to research the man here:
